Unfortunately our game continues to have problems with Match Official Abuse (MOA). Both the RFU and Kent RFU are seeing an increasing number of cases and are rightly taking stringent action in the form of tough sanctions against individuals and clubs found in breach of the MOA regulations.
I have attached a LINK to an RFU presentation which gives a good overview of the problem, referee feedback and the actions that have/are being taken to confront the problem. Please note that some of the slides contain examples of abuse which include foul language.
MOA does not just involve players but officials and spectators as well.
I would ask everyone to be mindful of the standard of behaviour expected when watching matches at Combe and elsewhere and at whatever level. Not only will the club exercise its right to sanction members who are charged with and found guilty of this type of offence, but everyone needs to know that severe cases can result in points deductions for our senior teams.
