Combe held off a late fight back from Sevenoaks to retain their title winning 29-26 with the last kick of the game beating old rivals Sevenoak.
Combe established forward dominance early and with robust defending against a lively back-line managed to establish a 26-12 lead with less than 10 minutes to go with tries from Rob Lawrence, Nikki Davies, Ross McEwen, Chris Lewis and 3 conversions from Graham Purdy.
Huge credit to Sevenoaks they rallied and levelled the score and had a chance to sneak the win missing a penalty in the last minute which led to break upfield and Combe being awarding a penalty near the half way line.... Strong protests towards the ref from Sevenoaks resulted in a further 10 metre penalty and made the task of the kick a little easier!
With the the last kick of the match Graham Purdy sealed the game for Combe and a 29-26 win.
It was a game decided by fine margins and one Sevenoaks very much played their part in. It was the hardest game Combe Vets have had since the teams last met in the competition in 2016.
